Washi Tape Pumpkin Card

You'll Need

  • White card, A5, 200 gsm, one sheet per child
  • Orange washi tape, one roll to share (about 15 mm wide)
  • Green washi tape, one roll to share (about 10 mm wide)
  • Black marker, fine tip
  • Scissors

Step by Step

  • Draw a light pencil outline of a pumpkin on the card: a large oval about 12 cm wide with a small rectangular stalk at the top and three vertical pencil lines to mark the segments.
  • Cut strips of orange washi tape slightly longer than the pumpkin is tall. Lay them vertically inside the pumpkin outline, overlapping each strip slightly and following the curve of the outline at the edges. Trim the excess tape at the top and bottom with scissors so the strips stay inside the pencil line.
  • Cut a short strip of green washi tape and press it over the stalk area at the top.
  • Draw triangle eyes, a zigzag mouth and a small triangular nose over the tape with the black marker. The marker writes on washi tape cleanly.
  • Rub out the pencil outline if it shows at the edges.
