Paper Plate Sunflower

You'll Need

  • 1 white paper plate, 23 cm diameter
  • 1 sheet yellow A4 paper, 80 gsm
  • Brown paint, 1 tablespoon
  • 1 glue stick
  • 1 paintbrush, at least 1 cm wide
  • Safety scissors

Step by Step

  • Brush brown paint across the inner half of the paper plate and leave it to dry for fifteen minutes until it is no longer tacky.
  • Fold the yellow paper in half lengthways three times to make a strip, then cut across it into petal shapes roughly seven centimetres long.
  • Run glue around the white rim and press the petals on with points facing inward, overlapping them slightly.
