Purple paper cups, one per witch (or white cups coloured with purple marker)
Black card, a small offcut per hat
2 googly eyes, 15 mm, per witch
Orange or yellow yarn, 8 strips about 12 cm long per witch (hair)
Green marker
Black marker, fine tip
PVA glue or a glue stick
Step by Step
An adult cuts a pointed triangle from black card, about 8 cm tall, and a narrow oval brim, about 8 cm wide. Glue the triangle base to the flat side of the brim.
Colour the inside top rim of the cup with green marker to suggest a face area. A circle about 4 cm diameter is enough.
Glue the googly eyes onto the green area. Draw a crooked nose and a gappy smile with the black marker below the eyes.
Bunch the yarn strips together and fold them in half. Glue the folded midpoint to the inside top rim of the cup so the strands hang down each side as hair.
Glue the hat onto the top of the cup, centred over the face and hair.
