Green card or thick paper, 15 cm x 10 cm rectangle per child, one sheet
Orange marker
Black marker, fine tip
Step by Step
Place the rectangle landscape. Fold the top right corner down to the left edge to make a triangle, crease sharply, unfold. Fold the top left corner down to the right edge, crease, unfold. You now have an X crease across the top half.
Push the top edge down and inward along the X crease so it collapses into a triangle pointing upward. Press flat. This is the head and front legs.
Fold the bottom left and right edges into the centre line, making a narrower rectangle below the triangle.
Fold the bottom edge up to meet the base of the triangle. Then fold it back down again halfway, creating the back legs fold. The frog should now look like a stubby figure with a pointed head.
Flip the frog over. Draw two orange dots for eyes near the triangle point and add a few black marker dots for warts.
To make the frog jump, press down on the back fold with one finger and slide it quickly off the edge. A well-creased frog jumps cleanly every time.
