Leaf Fall Jar

You'll Need

  • 1 clear plastic bottle, 500 ml, clean and dry
  • Water, enough to fill the bottle to 2 cm below the top
  • 10-15 paper leaf shapes, at least 5 cm long each, cut from red, orange or yellow paper
  • Waterproof tape (electrical or packing tape), 30 cm strip
  • Safety scissors

Step by Step

  • Cut ten to fifteen leaf shapes from coloured paper, each at least five centimetres long, and drop them into the empty bottle.
  • Fill the bottle with water to two centimetres below the top, leaving an air pocket so the leaves can swirl freely.
  • Screw the lid on tightly and wrap a strip of waterproof tape around the lid join three times. Shake and watch.
