Ghost Bubble Wrap Print

You'll Need

  • A piece of bubble wrap, at least 20 x 15 cm
  • Scissors (adult use)
  • White acrylic or poster paint
  • A shallow tray or plate for the paint
  • Dark card or paper, A5 size, 160 gsm minimum, one sheet per print
  • Black fine-tip marker for the face

Step by Step

  • An adult cuts the bubble wrap into a simple ghost shape: a rounded dome head, slight waist, widening again at the hem, with a wavy bottom edge. About 12 cm tall is ideal for an A5 card.
  • Pour white paint into the shallow tray to a depth of about 3 mm. Press the bubble side of the ghost-shaped bubble wrap into the paint, coating it evenly. Do not submerge it; just a light press onto the paint surface.
  • Press the paint-coated bubble wrap firmly onto the dark card, bubble side down, and hold for three seconds. Lift straight up without sliding. The result should be a white ghost shape made up of dozens of small circles: the bubble impressions.
  • Leave to dry for 10 minutes. The white paint dries quickly on dark card. Once dry, add two small black dot eyes with the marker, positioned in the upper third of the ghost shape.
