Whipped Feta With Hot Honey

Prep Time 10 minutes
Cook Time 5 minutes
Total Time 15 minutes
Makes 6 servings

Ingredients

  • 8 oz block feta drained
  • 4 oz cream cheese softened
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil plus more for drizzling
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 small garlic clove
  • 1/4 cup hot honey
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • flaky salt
  • pita bread warmed and cut into wedges

Instructions

  • Combine the feta, cream cheese, olive oil, lemon juice and garlic in a food processor.
  • Blend for 2 to 3 minutes, scraping down the sides once, until the mixture is completely smooth and lightened in color.
  • Spread the whipped cheese into a shallow bowl and swirl the top with the back of a spoon so it holds pockets for the honey.
  • Warm the hot honey in the microwave for 15 seconds, just until it pours easily off a spoon.
  • Drizzle the warm honey over the whipped cheese and sprinkle with red pepper flakes and flaky salt.
  • Let the dip sit at room temperature for 10 minutes so the honey settles into the swirls before serving.
  • Serve with warm pita wedges.

Good to Know

Swap the hot honey for plain honey plus a pinch more red pepper flakes if the jar in the pantry is not spicy.
