Prep Time 15 minutes
Cook Time 7 minutes
Total Time 22 minutes
Makes 6 to 8 servings

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces block feta drained and cut into chunks
  • 4 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 1/3 cup olive oil plus more for serving
  • 1 small garlic clove
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh dill or chives
  • 1 teaspoon honey optional
  • 1 loaf pita bread or 1 baguette

Instructions

  • Combine feta, cream cheese, garlic, lemon juice and zest in a food processor.
  • Pulse until roughly combined, scraping down the sides once.
  • With the motor running, stream in the olive oil in a slow, steady pour.
  • Process 1 to 2 minutes, until completely smooth and fluffy, light as frosting.
  • Taste and adjust salt or lemon as needed.
  • Spread into a shallow bowl and swirl the surface with the back of a spoon.
  • Warm the bread in a 350F oven 5 to 7 minutes, until the outside is crisp and the inside stays soft.
  • Drizzle the dip with olive oil, honey, red pepper flakes and dill, then serve with the warm bread.

Good to Know

The dip holds in the fridge up to 3 days; let it sit out 20 minutes before serving so it loosens back up.
