Makes 8 pizza bites

Ingredients

  • 1 16.3-ounce can refrigerated biscuit dough (8 count)
  • 1 cup pizza sauce divided
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 24 mini pepperoni slices
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Instructions

  • Heat the oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Separate the biscuits and flatten each one into a 3-inch round with your palm.
  • Spoon about 1 teaspoon of pizza sauce into the center of each round, leaving a bare border around the edge.
  • Top each with a pinch of mozzarella and 3 mini pepperoni slices.
  • Pull the edges of the dough up and over the filling, pinching firmly to seal into a ball; place seam-side down on the baking sheet.
  • Sprinkle the Italian seasoning over the tops.
  • Bake for 12 to 14 minutes, until the bites are deep golden brown and firm when pressed.
  • Warm the remaining pizza sauce in a small saucepan over low heat for dipping, and serve the bites alongside it while still warm.

Good to Know

Freeze the sealed, unbaked dough balls on a tray, then bag them; bake straight from frozen, adding about 3 extra minutes.
